Dixons Carphone is taking its services up a gear with the launch of new brand – Team Knowhow – to be rolled out across the UK from today.
The electricals specialist has created the new, souped-up services offer by merging its former Geek Squad and Knowhow brands.
It has today pushed the button on a nationwide roll-out of the proposition to over 1,000 Currys PC World and Carphone Warehouse stores.
Aimed at doubling the retailer’s share of the £5bn tech support market, the refreshed network of 7,000 tech experts will deliver, install, support, upgrade and fix customer’s kit.
Focused on offering support throughout the whole lifecycle of a product – irrespective of where or when the item was purchased – Team Knowhow’s tech advice line will be made available around the clock, and its services located within a 20-minute drive of any customer in the UK.
Dixons Carphone has also invested in a new fleet of over 700 branded vehicles and is set to introduce same-day mobile repairs at its London stores.
The group’s new services chief executive Feilim Mackle said: “Whatever the challenge, Team Knowhow is aiming to be the UK’s number one technology support service, always on hand to connect it, fix it, protect it or improve it.
“We are a local, one-stop shop for expert service. Our colleagues make us who we are, and we are committed to being super-helpful, offering an impressively broad range of services that will consistently provide an exceptional customer experience.”
The move brings group boss Seb James one step closer to achieving his long-term goal of launching a membership scheme, offering subscribers installation and fixing services as well as the latest products for a monthly fee.
