Outdoor brand Berghaus’ brand president Richard Cotter has been appointed chief executive of outdoor retailer Snow + Rock.
Cotter, who has been brand president at Pentland Group’s outdoor brand Berghaus since 2006, will start the role on September 9. He has also worked at House of Fraser and Beales.
Hamish Mansbridge, who has been acting chief executive since November 2012, has been appointed chief operating officer. Mansbridge took over the ropes after boss Dion Taylor stood down from the retailer after eight years.
Snow + Rock Group chairman Neil McCausland said: ‘’The Snow + Rock Group has huge potential and I am delighted that we have attracted someone of Richard’s calibre to accelerate the pace of growth across the group.
“His first class credentials for building brands and his leadership skills make him exceptionally well positioned to build on our reputation as the best sports retailer of snowsports, outdoor, cycle and run.”
