CDS Superstores plans to open hundreds of Wilko stores across UK high streets over the next five years

The new store will open in Uxbridge this autumn, the seventh store to be opened since the brand’s relaunch at the end of last year.

The 30,000 sq ft store will be in the Pavillions Shopping Centre but the opening date has not been announced.

The London return follows the launch of six Wilko concept stores in Exeter, Luton, Plymouth, Rotherham, St Albans and Poole, which opened on August 16.

The new store will feature a range of home, gardening, health and beauty, and DIY products as well as a click-and-collect offer.

The store also forms part of Wilko’s nationwide expansion plan that aims to open hundreds of stores on high streets across the UK over the next five years, including in Northern Ireland for the first time.

CDS Superstores chief executive Alex Simpkin said: “Our expansion is about bringing Wilko back to the heart of communities, providing quality and value in every corner of the UK.

“We’ve had a great reception from customers in our six locations to date, and from wilko.com shoppers, and we’re thrilled to announce our reopening in Uxbridge, which also marks our return to Greater London, too.”
