Amazon achieved its fastest-ever global delivery speeds for Prime members in 2024, with over 9 billion items arriving on the same or next day.
Over 1 billion of these items arrived the same or next day in the UK, with same-day being available for people in over 80 UK towns and cities.
Amongst the UK’s favourite same-day items in 2024 included pharmacy essentials such as baby wipes, magnesium and beauty products.
The retail giant also announced it will deliver more everyday essentials across health, beauty, baby, pet food and more, as many of these were among the top shopped same-day delivery categories.
The fastest order delivered in the UK in the last three months took just under an hour and a half in Manchester, from order placed to delivery at the customer’s door.
Amazon has also seen customers opt for convenient and secure pick-up locations around the UK. Customers now have the choice between self-service locker locations or staffed counters, with over 25,000 pick-up locations throughout the country.
