Amazon has launched five new generative AI tools for sellers and customers

Among the tools is a generative AI assistant called Amelia, introduced to deliver a personal selling expert that understands the individual’s unique business.

It provides personalised recommendations, insights and information, and will soon be able to recognise business opportunities, diagnose problems and develop insights into how to grow revenue.

Amazon will also expand on its listing capabilities. AI is already being used to create high-quality product listings from a merchant’s brief description, but new advancements will help sellers create multiple listings at the same time.

Other tools include personalised recommendations relevant to unique customer journeys and new video advertisements.

The video generator allows sellers to use Amazon’s advertising tools to make content through a single product image, which creates AI-generated videos showcasing a product’s features.

As part of the announcement of the new AI functions, Amazon posted on its blog: “Amazon sellers, many of whom are small and medium-sized businesses, manage complex operations, including overseeing supply chains, managing inventory, forecasting sales, building brand recognition and so much more.

“With generative AI, Amazon is streamlining these efforts, giving sellers more time back to focus on inventing even more incredible products that delight customers.”
