Sofaworks has piloted a real-time behavioural tracking tool that sends customers personalised offers while they shop in-store.
The furniture retailer, which joined forces with customer engagement specialist Intilery on the four-week trial, found that 65% of personalised vouchers sent to registered shoppers were redeemed in-store within an hour.
Sofaworks sent push notifications to consumers via their smartphones after they signed up to the campaign via the retailer’s Facebook page or website.
Intilery chief executive Gareth James said: “We integrated the campaign through Facebook and set up a tombola entry system and a five-stage programmed sequence of trigger based emails.
“When registered customers were in the vicinity of the store, it would trigger the emails with a randomised voucher offer.”
Sofaworks chief executive Jason Tyldesley said: “Intilery’s platform and responsive team have really helped us get to grips with data-driven decision making, enabling us to build customer-centric journey plans and campaigns that result in increased store footfall and higher revenues.”
