The department store group will launch a lower-priced range of products for the first time on Monday.
The range comprises 100 value lines, including tea towels for a pound each, a set of four wine glasses for £4 (pictured) and a £150 sofa bed.
The department store, best known for its mid-range and upmarket positioning, said the decision will drive home its Never Knowingly Undersold price-matching pledge, which the retailer wants to emphasise to customers. The retailer is keen to reinforce this commitment in the face of promotions from retailers such as Ikea and Tesco.
