TikTok has launched a new plan to help new merchants on the platform grow to £1m in revenue through a series of incentives and support.
Dubbed ‘The £1Million Club’, the social platform is bringing five core benefits to new businesses at no extra cost to sellers and includes up to 90 days’ commission-free sales, and free fulfilment and storage by TikTok Shop.
The platform will also support sellers through onboarding and product listing processes to ensure a “fast and smooth” process for businesses new to TikTok Shop.
Seller training is also available via TikTok Shop’s seller academy to help new merchants access the latest market trends, operational skills and successful case studies.
Finally, the platform will work with top new sellers to plan and carry out marketing activites through TikTok Shop’s insights to “accurately reach target consumer groups”.
The announcement follows the news that beauty brand Made By Mitchell became the first-ever brand in the UK to hit $1m (£779,000) in one day on TikTok Shop, mainly driven by a 12-hour live marathon which TikTok said saw “one product sell every second”.
TikTok Shop UK head of operations Jan Wilk said: “We are committed to helping both big brands and small businesses supercharge sales outside of traditional channels.
“Through launching our new ‘£1Million Club’ plan, we hope this package of e-commerce solutions and resource support will help UK businesses to grow rapidly by putting their products in front of new audiences. There really is no better time to launch your business on TikTok Shop with 0% fees and our unparalleled support to help grow members of TikTok Shop’s £1Million Club.”
