PROMOTIONAL RESEARCH
River Island supply chain director Susanne Robbins will reveal how the fashion retailer is investing in technology and automation at Retail Week’s upcoming networking and learning event.
River Island has been busy in 2022. Multiple platform partnerships have strengthened its supply chain – improving the user experience, speed to market, increasing transparency and meeting sustainability targets.
The fashion retailer’s recent investment in Segura’s sustainability platform comes in addition to its recently published 12 Commitments for People and Planet.
The aim of the strategy is “to make fashion a force for good”. Increasing transparency across River Island’s supply chain and supplier network is one of the core focuses.
Partnering with a sustainability platform will give the retailer the ability to manage and track orders, giving suppliers fewer opportunities to use unwanted third parties or substandard factories. The result − River Island will be able to meet its sustainability objectives faster and more efficiently.
River Island has also partnered with a CX platform to “future-proof its media tech stack, boost the user experience, and shorten time-to-market”. This investment is crucial for optimising River Island’s online content and for creating a frictionless digital shopping experience. The platform solution makes websites load faster, with higher quality images and video experiences – with the aim of producing an efficient but memorable customer experience for River Island shoppers.
