Value fashion retailer Peacocks is to relaunch its website early next year as it seeks to drive its online sales.
Peacocks has signed an extension to an ecommerce services deal with GSI Commerce, which will see the provider deliver and operate a new web platform and fulfilment, order processing and call centre services. Peacocks is working on the strategy, marketing and merchandising.
Peacocks managing director Tim Bettley said its site needs to be taken to the next level. He said GSI’s “percent of sales” business model improved its profitability, without the need for costly capital expenditure. Peacocks received a £20m cash injection from its private equity backers late last year, but this money has been focused on funding store expansion.
Peacocks has signed an eight-year deal with GSI.
