This year’s Retail Solutions show is to relocate to ExCel in London from its former home at Birmingham’s NEC.
Multiple Retail Week conferences will also run alongside this year’s show, which is to be held between June 24 and June 26, 2008. Prominent UK and international retailers will speak on topics including supply chain, loss prevention, multichannel retail and business intelligence.
Also planned are a series of practical workshops on EPoS, PCI DSS and RFID.
Following on from the success of Store of the Future at last year’s Retail Solutions, the 2008 event will host a green feature. Sponsored by BT Expedite, this showcase will demonstrate how technology can help retailers as they respond to consumers’ demands for more environmentally aware products and stores.
Finally, London’s Old Billingsgate Market is to play host to the European Retail Solutions Awards 2008 on the June 25. There are 15 categories – 13 of which retailers can submit entries for – including new categories such as Best Green IT initiative and Best Multichannel integration. Retailers can enter through the awards web site at www.europeanretailsolutionsawards.com.
The deadline for entry is the end of March with the awards shortlist to be announced at the end of April.
